About the Artist

Ellie Murray is a talented Aboriginal Artist from Regional Australia.  Her great Grandmother was from the tribal lands of Bunganditj also known Boandik Nation in Mount Gambier area, South Australia.   She now lives in the community of the Wiradjuri tribe in the Albury/ Wodonga area.   Ellie is one of six children, and is aunt to five nephews and four nieces.

Ellie Murray's Finding Your Way is about how in life, people need to go through different personality changes as they grow up.  This painting is about the journey of finding out who you really are.  After following the crowds and the popular trends, generally people will discover who they truly are inside and stop following and mimicking others.
